God Gives You What You Need

"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippi

It's easy to get discouraged or frustrated when you want something you don't have, no matter what your age. You may be longing for a better job, living conditions, the right person to marry, improved health, financial stability, or relief from a most pressing and stressful set of circumstances. When I was a kid at the carnival, I couldn't enjoy the kiddie planes because I told my mom I couldn't wait to be on the kiddie roller coaster!
If you're like me, sometimes what I think I need is not really the best thing for me. The neat thing about this verse is that God has promised to always supply what we need, which is always the best because God knows best even when it is something different than what we want to have in our possession at the time. And, if God provides it in His perfect time, it doesn't matter what the external picture displays, our hearts will be satisfied because we will know a deep contentment within our minds and hearts that only Christ can provide through the power of the Holy Spirit.

I would encourage you to slowly read and think about the context in which Paul writes this verse by reading Chapter Four of Philippians. When you do, you will see how God provided for everything that Paul needed. And He will do no less for you today, as you trust Him. 'Whater' be the tide, God will take care of you" Also, check out Matthew Six.

God Will Save You

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should

The Reverend Billy Graham once said,- Everything you need to know about the Gospel is contained in the twenty-five words found in this little verse! - John 3:16 is the gospel in a nutshell! How awesome is that!
Put your name in the verse: For God so loved ________, that He gave ________ His only begotten Son, that when ________ believes in Him, ________ should not perish but ______ should have eternal life! Do you believe this? That God loved YOU so much that He sent His Son Jesus to die for YOU on the Cross and be raised by His power from the dead for YOU on the third day! The Bible says the day Jesus walked bruised and bleeding beyond recognition toward the Cross, He had YOU in mind! Paul tells us in Romans that at the right time Jesus came to die for YOU, and that His public death was proof of God's love for all people of all nations for all time, and that means YOU!
I pray that if you have never invited the Son of God, Jesus Christ, into your heart as Lord and Savior that you will invite Him in today! The Bible says those who receive Him will spend eternity with Him but those who do not will perish meaning, they will be eternally separated from God and will be fully aware of their eternal separation from Him. If you are a Christian, I invite you to spend time in prayer and praise for what Christ has done for YOU! Jesus still saves!
READ MORE ABOUT IT: John 1:12-13, Romans 10:8-13, Revelation 3:20. And tell someone about your salvation that they may rejoice with you and help you grow in your journey with Jesus.

God Will Answer You

And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that if we ask anything according to His will,

A few weeks ago I began my blogs at Trinity Church as a reflection of this years Vacation Bible School entitled, Adventures on Promise Island: Where kids discover Gods lifesaving love. Well, guess what? The neat thing is that if you are a Christian you are one of Gods kids! Paul tells us in Ephesians 1:5 that God has determined ahead of time that those who believe in Christ will be adopted into His family as sons (and daughters) and conformed to His Son, Jesus Christ! And as members of Gods family, John writes we can go confidently before the Lord and talk to Him anytime and no matter what the situation!
Perhaps your father or father-figure didn't offer you his full presence when you wanted to talk to him about the things that were important to you when you were a child or teenager. Perhaps he wasn't around much of the time, or any time you needed him. The Good News of the Bible is that God is always ready to hear you and me, but what pleases His heart most of all is our asking Him to see after our lives in accordance to His will. Therefore, John includes this all-important gracious limitation to our conversations with God and our listening to Him through prayer and praise. When we seek Gods will first, no matter the circumstances, we will find out that He is taking care of us!
Read Acts 16:22-34 to discover what happened when Paul and Silas cried out to God when they had been beaten and thrown into prison! Its an awesome and encouraging account of Gods answering His children when they call out to him! Pastor Louie

Magnificent Obsession

Jesus said I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much frui

When I was a young boy, I used to love to watch my grandmother Mabrey tend her beautiful flower garden which was located in the front yard right next to my grandparents home in Albertville, Alabama. The neat thing was how I could sit in the front living room and look out the large picture window and right onto her lovely garden. But, better yet, was my grandmothers standing invitation to be right there with her, in the garden, as she tenderly cared for her wide variety of flowers with the greatest of love and care and even removing the weeds from time to time.
Jesus desires that we stay connected to Him and that He be our magnificent obsession. And the most beautiful place to be with Him is in the beautiful garden of prayer. What beauty awaits us each new day as we walk with Him and we talk with Him and He tells us that we are belong to Him.
In the place where the deep roots and the rich soil connect in preparation to receive the gentle rains, sunshine, and even the pruners shears, in order to become the most beautiful garden.
Sweet Hour of Prayer,

You delivered my feet from stumbling. Psalm 56:13
He will guide our feet in the way of peace. Luke 1:79

How lovely are the feet of him who brings good news. Isaiah 52: 7
He set my feet upon a rock. Psalm 40:2
See My hands and My feet. Luke 24:39
